Kristine • Guildford Town Centre

I knew Kristine in high school. She was one grade below me and always seemed very quiet and shy. Little did I know that once you got to know her, she could be quite cute and silly!

Kristine is from the Philippines and as part of their tradition, when Filipino girls turn 18, they throw a big celebration called a Debut. It is something like a presentation of the girl as a young woman into society. Luckily for me, I get the privilege of being the photographer for Kristine's debut one week from today!

Here are some photos of Kristine at Guildford Town Centre that we took for a display at the debut.

The Wisemans • A Cedar Hills Affair

Hello there folks! Today, I've got a beautifully funny story for you all. It all started during the Block Party at JHC. I was wandering the church fields looking for photo ops when suddenly two very short, very young-looking, and very mustached men crossed my path...

After quick analysis, I realized they were just boys who had had their faces disguised by the artistic face painters and I shot this lovely portrait of the two. Through posting this photo on Facebook, I came to contact the blond's mother and we got talking. Apparently, they had not had a family shoot in awhile and next thing you know, we set a date for a family shoot at their place. Bah-dah bing! Bah-dah boom! Luckily for me, they had a well kept yard and very photogenic trees, fences, and pumpkins.
On a crisp Sunday afternoon, they braved the cool autumn air and put on their best faces for the camera.

Thanks Wendy, David, Jacob, and Dominic! It was a fun time doing that shoot with you guys. Thank you for letting me have the pleasure of photographing your beautiful family.

Fun and Games at JHC!

A couple of weeks ago in early September, the church I attend had an event. It was a Block Party and the whole community came out to celebrate the beginning of another year because let's admit it, the real beginning of the year is September, not January. In any case, there was lots of fun, food, and frolicking to be had and here is a glimpse of that day!

Go information booths!

I love this picture of the kids running around! So carefree...

Syrups for snow cones man!

We even had a popcorn machine.

My Sister's Third Commencement!

So lucky me, I have quite an accomplished sister to look up to. After graduating Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor's, she went back to Kwantlen Polytechnic for more schooling! (Woohoo! Kwantlen!). After another year or so of studying the lovely subject of Human Resources, she now graduates with another fancy certificate to hang up on her wall! Congratulations sis!
