Love is in the Air! • Sean and Danielle

It was a dark and stormy night. She was wrapped up in her blanket and sleeping bag, almost fast asleep, a bit tired from the sociable evening they had had earlier that day. They were out camping for the weekend and some friends had visited when the weather was a bit friendlier. It was the perfect ending to the evening (minus to raging windstorm just outside their tent). Except that Sean had to be out by the car...why did he insist on getting champagne at this time of night? It's not like there was anything to celebrate...

Meanwhile Sean was out in the wind and rain by their car. It was silly, he had planned on proposing to her after their friends had left, right by the water at sunset but they had stayed later than expected. Conveniently, they had stayed til the storm started...And now he was out there getting the ring, with the lame excuse of getting champagne...

And there, in the middle of that stormy night, he came into the tent and asked (on both knees because the tent was a tad short) "Will you marry me?"

Well...this wasn't the proposal she expected but okay!

Sean and Danielle are such a great couple, silly and laid back, supa chill. So when we met up to talk about their wedding and all their plans, it was not as stressful as it might have been. I am "supa" excited to shoot their wedding in late November, but hopefully the weather won't be a repeat of the proposal ;)

For now, here are some engagement photos we took at Deer Lake Park!

Three Dudes and a Motorcycle...

This post is going to be a little different. No emotional back story, no fun facts about how I met these fellows or anything fancy like that. Just the plain ol' textbook truth: we were just hanging out and we got bored.

Because, see, in my world of friends, boredom = PHOTOSHOOT!!! Haha, kidding, don't you guys all start hanging around me in hopes of a free shoot...

Long story short, I knew these kids from high school and I'm dating one of them at the moment (haha, guess who...) and due to boredom and vanity, we decided to head out and do a silly shoot for funsies. So there you go, I hope these images entertain you guys as much as it entertained us to take them...

Because best friends are forever. ♥ The last one is my favourite.

Fall Shoot with the Little Miss • Sneak Peek!

This past Labor Day, I had the super fun opportunity to collaborate with talented fashion blogger of  ♥ little miss cydney , Cydney herself! We got together a whole group and basically had the time of our lives amidst the foresty shade of Green Timbers Urbans Forest. Fun was had by all in this creative process.

I am very excited to show you some of the photos we got, but we'll leave most of the unveiling to the stylist herself. So, in anticpation of her Fall Lookbook, here are a couple of my favourites from the day!

Welcome to the World! • Little Jonah

And the sequel to our family shoot a couple months earlier is...baby Jonah! Ta-da!

Now although he was tired from staying up late the night before the shoot, Jonah braved out the hour or so and he gave us his best sleepy faces. Just kidding, the child did not have to try at all during our time together; babies always seem to be ceaselessly cute no matter what they do (or how they smell!)

Anyways, without further ado, I introduce to you Jonah!!!

The Giesbrechts • Fleetwood Park

You may possibly recognize these children from one of my earlier shoots of the boys last year! It's been a year now, and there been a lot of change and growth in this family and as you can probably see, an expected addition as well...

It was great fun taking photos for this family, however, it was no easy feat considering the amounts of energy these boys had stored up inside them on that beautiful sunny day. They were running all over the place whenever they got the chance!

Jason and Nicki, thanks for letting me spend time with your lovely and growing family, and remember, never EVER hesitate to call on me if you're ever in need of a babysitter...Your kids are the best!

He's comin' to get ya!

Like father, like sons...

Or not.
